Christopher “Topher” Horner has been playing in bands since he was in The Grasshoppers at age 8 or so. He grew up in Western Pennsylvania and cut his musical teeth at frat parties, smokey bars, and other disreputable establishments in central Maine and Washington DC before moving to the Philadelphia area in the late 1980’s with the band Go To Blazes. He has played in various and sundry Philadelphia area groups, and currently plays guitar with O My Stars, upright bass with April Mae and the June Bugs, electric bass with Wonder House, and classical bass in the Independence Sinfonia. He also teaches music at Germantown Academy and leads the orchestra at Wissahickon High School. He is thrilled to be teaming up with the Edge Hill Rounders!
